These Terms of Service govern your use of chooseyourownapp.com and any services provided by Liquid Box, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Michigan limited liability company based in Traverse City, MI. By registering for an account or purchasing services, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By registering, you confirm you have legal authority to enter into this agreement — as an individual or on behalf of your organization.
Account Registration
Access to our client portal requires registration and approval. We review all applications and reserve the right to decline access at our discretion. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately at hello@chooseyourownapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Services
- WordPress Maintenance Plans: Ongoing monthly services (updates, backups, security, support), billed monthly on a recurring basis.
- Custom Development: Fixed-price projects scoped and agreed upon in writing before work begins.
- Digital Products and Plugins: Free plugins are MIT-licensed. Paid products are licensed for use as described at purchase.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service with reasonable notice.
Payment and Billing
Maintenance Plans: Billed monthly automatically. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file each billing cycle.
Custom Development: Payment terms are set per project agreement, typically a deposit before work begins and final payment on delivery.
Price Changes: We may update pricing with at least 30 days’ written notice by email. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
Refund Policy
Maintenance Plans: If you cancel within 7 days of a billing cycle charge and have not consumed substantial services that month, we will provide a prorated refund. Contact hello@chooseyourownapp.com.
Custom Development: Payments are non-refundable once work has begun, unless both parties mutually agree otherwise in writing.
Digital Products: All sales of paid digital products are final. If you experience a defect, contact us and we will work to resolve it.
Intellectual Property
Custom Deliverables: You own the custom code and assets we create for your project upon receipt of full payment.
Our Tools and Frameworks: Liquid Box, LLC retains ownership of proprietary tools, internal scaffolding, and reusable components. We grant you a license to use these as part of your delivered project.
Free Plugins: Released under the MIT License — free to use, modify, and distribute.
Paid Products: Your purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use our services for unlawful purposes, reverse engineer paid products, resell products without permission, transmit spam or malware, or interfere with our systems. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
Limitation of Liability
Liquid Box, LLC’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data.
Warranty Disclaimer
Services are provided “as is” with reasonable skill and care. We make no guarantees of error-free, uninterrupted, or fully secure service. Implied warranties are disclaimed to the extent permitted by law.
Termination
Either party may cancel ongoing services with 30 days’ written notice by email, effective at the end of the current billing cycle. We may suspend or terminate accounts immediately for Terms violations, fraud, or harmful use — without notice or refund.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Disputes shall be resolved in Michigan courts.
Changes to These Terms
Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect. The current Terms will always be available at this URL.
